Job Description:

The primary goal of this position is to deliver high-quality instruction and learning experiences for students. This involves collaborating with academic colleagues to achieve annual targets assigned by the Head of Department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To work towards achieving targets set by the Dean/Principal, ensuring an exceptional teaching and learning environment.
  • To deliver assigned courses in accordance with faculty workload policy, catering to diverse student needs.
  • To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work, and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement, and attendance.
  • Contribute to the creation of module information packs, assignments, and examination questions, as well as assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Continuously develop own instructional and learning skills, contributing to the planning of teaching programs, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance experiential learning during lessons.
  • Liaise and maintain excellent relationships with academic colleagues and professionals in practice.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, setting, marking, and assessing work and examinations while providing valuable feedback to students.
  • Update data in Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) and other required software as per requirements.
  • To integrate Islamic and ethical values into instructional practices.
  • Participate in departmental and university committees, ensuring that teaching content and methods align with RIU's mission and addressing issues related to subordinates and student needs.
