
Mentorship Coordinator

As a Mentorship Coordinator, you will oversee the PALs (Peer Ambassador Leaders) and Academic Support Lab programs. Your role involves coordinating PALs recruitment, training, and performance tracking, as well as managing the ASL's logistical and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit, onboard, and train Peer Ambassadors to effectively mentor students.
- Manage PALs performance through data analysis, ensuring consistent and quality interactions with mentees.
- Coordinate mandatory PALs meetings, track attendance and engagement levels.
- Process and manage PALs payments, maintaining accurate documentation and timely disbursement.
- Develop feedback mechanisms to assess PALs program effectiveness and propose improvements.
- Maintain strong coordination with faculty advisors and administrative teams to align peer mentoring with student needs.
- Operational & Logistical Management: Ensure smooth daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management.
- Data Management & Analysis: Maintain student records, track attendance, participation, and progress, and run analyses to identify academic challenges.
- Faculty & Tutor Coordination: Liaise between faculty and tutors, ensuring clear communication of expectations, recruit and train tutors, and organize meetings for continuous improvement.
- Administrative & Communication Responsibilities: Draft announcements, schedules, and guidelines, maintain lab procedures and policies, communicate with students, and respond to queries.
- Continuous Improvement & Development: Monitor best practices in peer mentoring and academic support services, recommend improvements, and work on special projects assigned by the Dean's Office.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets), experience with student management systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, ability to work with faculty, students, and administrative teams.
- Punctuality and Attendance: Consistently arrive on time, maintain good attendance record.
- Professionalism: Demonstrate respect and integrity, adhere to organizational policies and dress code.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Cooperate with team members, willingly share knowledge and support others.
- Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and respectfully, listen actively and respond appropriately.
