About the Role

As a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will oversee all QA activities, ensuring seamless product lifecycles. This includes manual and automated testing, implementation of quality processes, and monitoring for compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all QA activities, including manual and automated testing, to ensure seamless product lifecycles.
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce quality processes to align with organizational and industry standards.
  • Identify and address gaps in existing QA workflows, driving initiatives for automation and process improvement.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of applications across all environments.
  • Own the release management lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases across multiple environments.
  • Develop and manage reporting metrics, risk assessments, and rollback strategies.
  • Monitor releases for compliance with industry standards, data security, and system reliability.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth and aligned deployments.
  • Manage a distributed team of QA engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Establish and promote best practices for collaboration and team evaluation in a remote working environment.
  • Serve as the escalation point for QA and release-related issues, ensuring timely resolutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years in QA or technical roles, with at least a year in a leadership position managing remote teams.
  • Industry experience in E-commerce, FinTech, or subscription-based environments is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in QA automation tools, release management tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Current hands-on experience with unit testing and quality assurance best practices.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, CRM, Rest APIs, AWS, Jira, and Confluence.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
