SAP Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP project manager to lead and manage SAP implementation, upgrade, or optimization projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring successful project delivery, managing teams, and liaising with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage SAP implementation, upgrade, or optimization projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resources allocation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring regular communication and updates on project status.
  • Identify project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Conduct project reviews and post-project evaluations, implementing lessons learned into future projects.
  • Manage relationships with SAP vendors and consultants as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP project manager with a strong understanding of SAP modules is required.
  • Expertise in managing end-to-end SAP implementation projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, is necessary.
  • Experience in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources is also required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is critical.
  • SAP certification or PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field is required.
