Job Opportunity: Manager Alternate Pathways

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our Alternate Pathways program, aimed at expanding skill-building and career opportunities for alumni beyond traditional education channels. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and managing vocational training programs that support alumni in building skills to advance their careers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and launch impactful programs outside the formal education landscape that offer alternate pathways to employment for alumni who do not pursue traditional university education.
  • Collaborate with mission-aligned organizations and institutes to leverage existing programs and resources that align with the needs and aspirations of alumni.
  • Develop new programs tailored to the specific requirements of alumni, focusing on areas such as digital skills, IT-enabled pathways, and emerging technologies.
  • Oversee guidance and counseling programs for alumni, providing personalized support and guidance in choosing and pursuing alternate pathways based on their interests, aptitudes, and goals.
  • Strategize and execute initiatives to grow the alternate pathways programs, aiming to achieve a target of 5,000+ program graduates within the next 3-5 years.
  • Identify solutions to bridge inequalities in access to technology and infrastructure, ensuring equal opportunities for all alumni to participate in alternate pathways programs.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry professionals, educational institutions, and organizations to enhance the reach and impact of the alternate pathways programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Expertise in establishing partnerships with organizations and institutions, designing and launching impactful programs, managing diverse projects, and advocating for alumni opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and ability to develop innovative programs that prepare alumni for the future job market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including alumni, industry partners, and educational institutions.
  • Ability to provide personalized guidance and counseling to alumni, and to strategize and execute initiatives to grow the alternate pathways programs.
