About the Role:

\

We are looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our team as a Senior Backend Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in advancing our development stack and ensuring scalability as we grow.

\

Responsibilities include leading planning sessions around new product features, delivering detailed roll-out/roll-back strategies for releases, and researching and applying industry trends to improve our technology stack.

\

Additionally, you will be responsible for creating unit tests to cover assigned work, writing and maintaining exemplary code, and actively contributing in post-release maintenance issues.

\

You will also develop elegant solutions for complex problems, pioneer reliability and efficiency of our code base, and impact the direction and scope of our technical vision.

\

As a mentor, you will provide guidance on tasks and code review all major pull requests, defining programming standards and providing constructive feedback.

\

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of professional back-end software engineering experience, preferably in Python, and experience with Cloud hosted infrastructure and Technologies, such as AWS.

\

Prior experience with Kubernetes & Docker is a plus, as well as experience working on high-traffic and large-scale web products.

\

A strong understanding of design patterns, including asynchronous programming, queuing, logging, security and persistence, is essential.

\

Mastery of different caching layers and strategies, including memcached, is also required.

\

Good understanding of build process management and continuous integration is essential, as well as excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

\
