Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Engineer to oversee our civil engineering endeavors. This key role involves supervising a team of dedicated civil engineers, ensuring the successful execution of projects related to the development and maintenance of natural gas infrastructure.

  • **Project Planning:** Plan and execute civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • **Leadership:** Lead and monitor project progress to ensure successful execution.
  • **Strategic Leadership:** Provide strategic leadership in civil engineering initiatives, aligning efforts with our overall goals and objectives.
  • **Team Management:** Oversee and supervise a team of civil engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and leadership to ensure project success and the professional development of the team.
  • **Quality Assurance:** Implement and oversee quality assurance measures for civil designs, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards in all civil engineering deliverables.
  • **Infrastructure Development:** Oversee the development and maintenance of civil infrastructure related to natural gas transmission, ensuring that projects meet environmental, safety, and sustainability requirements.
  • **Resource Allocation:** Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and relevant departments to allocate resources effectively for civil engineering projects.
  • **Budget Management:** Manage budgets to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • **Vendor Engagement:** Engage with vendors to ensure the selection of reliable and cost-effective civil works.
  • **Risk Assessment:** Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.
  • **Risk Response:** Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.
  • **Risk Monitoring:** Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.
  • **Reporting:** Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
