Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring efficient execution and productivity.
  • Oversee end-of-month and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, and cash forecasting to maintain financial stability.
  • Conduct thorough revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, bank account statement reconciliations, fixed asset activity, and debt management.
  • Prepare comprehensive Company Financial Statements and periodic updates to the Trial Balance, Statement of Comprehensive Income, and Profit and Loss Statement.
  • Manage pre-payments, accruals, and arrears schedule, post month-end journal vouchers, and finalize accounts to the Statement of Financial Position.
  • Report and oversee filing of monthly/annual Sales/Tax returns and verification of company-related payment vouchers.

Job Specifications:

  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager with 3-5 years' experience required; 3 years in Retail sector preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office and ORACLE-EBS (R-12).
  • Ability to handle large amounts of accounting data, knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to direct and supervise accounting team members effectively.
