Senior Accountant Head of Finance Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our finance operations in Islamabad, Pakistan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing financial activities, supervising accounting staff, and ensuring the accuracy of statutory accounts.

  • Manage and review your work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Work across various clients and industries to broaden your expertise and experience.
  • Develop and maintain a dedicated client portfolio to drive growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, mentor, and train multi-level accounting staff to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review UK statutory accounts, VAT returns, and CT600s to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Lead month-end and year-end processes to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Optimize the use of Xero, TaxCalc, and Excel-based systems to streamline operations and improve productivity.
  • Lead recruitment and team expansion to align with business growth and objectives.
  • Ensure delivery of all KPIs and quarterly targets to measure success and progress.
Candidate Requirements
  • ACCA-qualified with experience in accountancy practice.
  • Minimum 5 years preparing accounts and tax returns.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Xero, TaxCalc, Excel.
  • Experience leading and training teams to achieve excellence and growth.
