Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support on security matters to country management, including advising on changes and recommending countermeasures. This also involves sourcing appropriate security vendors and consultants.

To excel in this role, candidates should have 5-7 years of experience in security, military, or police, with excellent software skills and strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Advise country management on security matters and recommend countermeasures to ensure a secure environment.
  • Source and manage security vendors and consultants to maintain compliance with regional policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and audit the security services provided, maintaining a monthly performance report to track progress.
  • Establish and maintain professional liaison with authorities to foster strong relationships between organizations and such bodies.
  • Liaise closely with staff to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy is implemented.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop, implement, and monitor security policies, procedures, and practices to safeguard employees, customers' shipments, assets, and information.
  • Coordinate country security activities and ensure compliance with security procedures to maintain a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular security audits to assess the effectiveness of security practices and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
Security Incident Management

The Security Specialist will provide input and participate in the reporting of security incidents into the database, preparing and analyzing database information for regular reports on shipment and other security incidents.

External Threat Analysis

Maintain a current threat and risk analysis by systematic analysis of national and international events and criminal trends, ensuring that potential threats are identified and mitigated.

Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in security, military, or police.
