Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, documenting financial transactions, and maintaining accurate accounting records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  2. Document financial transactions by entering account information.
  3. Analyze accounting options and make recommendations for financial actions.
  4. Summarize current financial status by collecting and analyzing account information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
  5. Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions.
  6. Maintain accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.
  7. Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  8. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  9. Ensure the security of financial information by completing database backups and following internal controls.
  10. Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  11. Provide guidance on accounting procedures by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
  12. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by staying up-to-date on existing and new legislation.
  13. Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  14. Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  15. Stay current with industry developments by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
