About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced finance professional who can manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including invoicing, bills, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • This role involves analyzing inventory movement across retail and e-commerce sales, understanding credit terms, freight costs, supplier relationships, and stock write-offs.
  • Maintaining accurate COGS and inventory valuation, adjusting for shrinkage or variances is a critical aspect of this position.
  • The successful candidate will build and continuously refine cash flow forecasts, highlighting risks, opportunities, and making recommendations.
  • Preparing and delivering insightful financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with commentary will ensure business performance visibility.
  • This role also involves supporting pricing, reorder thresholds, and discount analysis using historical trends and future projections.
  • Collaborating with management to develop KPI dashboards that give real-time visibility into business performance is another key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and inventory-heavy businesses.
  • Prior experience working with auto parts, retail, or inventory-focused companies is highly preferred.
  • You must be hands-on with QuickBooks Online or Xero, Google Sheets/Excel, and reconciliation tools.
  • Understanding stock valuation, reorder cycles, freight costs, and how they affect financials is vital to this role.
  • Able to interpret numbers, not just record them: confident providing recommendations and insights is necessary.
  • Bonus points if you have exposure to international clients, especially AU/UK, and experience working with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
