Job Overview:

The Payments Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing and enhancing payment workflows to maximize acceptance rates, reduce transaction costs, and ensure seamless processing of customer payments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze transaction data and identify trends, failure points, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize payment routing, acquirer selection, and PISP redundancies to improve transaction success rates.
  • Manage and investigate payment issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and errors.
  • Design and maintain real-time dashboards and reporting for key performance indicators such as acceptance rate, acquirer/PISP uptime, error codes, and retry success.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payments, fintech, banking operations, or a related field.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, or BI tools for data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with payment platforms, PSPs, and banking APIs.
  • Sound understanding of payment authorization flows, fraud detection, risk controls, and compliance.
