The role involves performing routine and non-routine maintenance of aircraft in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule using established methods and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute all routine and non-routine maintenance tasks for aircraft within the scope of the approval, including A&C and Avionics as applicable.
  2. Conduct all routine and non-routine maintenance on third-party aircraft for which the jobholder holds type approval, including A&C and Avionics as applicable.
  3. Ensure timely departures of aircraft upon completion of relevant routine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks.
  4. Perform duties as necessary to meet schedule changes at short notice by accompanying aircraft to carry out both routine and non-routine maintenance.
  5. Travel when required for aircraft recovery during an AOG situation and as a flying spanner to handle pre-departure checks for aircraft.
  6. Maintain bonded stores, offices, and ensure a clean, tidy, and serviceable environment.
  7. Keep station manuals and technical publications up-to-date as per company requirements.
  8. Coordinate with the Gulf Air Technical Material Department for replenishment of materials shortages.
  9. Provide accurate and timely debriefs of station messages to Maintenance Control Centre regarding aircraft departure, technical delays, defect rectification, ADDs/MDDs raised, and ETS during prolonged technical delays.
  10. Deputize for the Station Engineer when needed.
