Job Title

We are seeking a skilled cybersecurity expert to protect our infrastructure. A successful candidate will display strong communication and technical skills, be comfortable working independently and as part of a larger team.

The ideal candidate will emphasize security through automation and scalability. They must be able to work with various teams to identify and mitigate security issues, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations by applying their in-depth knowledge of operating systems, infrastructure, and cloud providers.

Responsibilities
  • Establish best practices for mobile, on-premises, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Support infrastructure teams from a security engineering perspective by injecting appropriate security controls.
  • Establish and maintain Infrastructure as Code scanning engine.
  • Manage cryptography and encryption controls.
  • Coordinate security implementation work with infrastructure teams and other security department members.
  • Manage Web Application Firewall rules, maintenance, monitoring, and adjustments.
  • Work with analysts, engineers, and data scientists to improve cyber resilience.
  • Manage KMS, Secrets, certificate management platforms.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives, processes, and documentation for ISO 27001, PCI, SOC2, etc.
  • Assist with incident response practices including incident management, coordination, analysis, and investigation of potential security events.
  • Design and implement safeguards with others to progress cloud security posture.
  • Monitor environments using logging and monitoring tools, threat detection, and setup.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IT security environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications in Information Security (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, CEH, GIAC).

The successful candidate will have significant ownership in and evangelize security training with infrastructure teams. They must be subject matter experts in at least one technical area impacting the security of the infrastructure. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with cloud security, systems security, site-reliability engineering, Linux/Windows/Mac Operating Systems, common OS hardening practices, running systems at scale, and succinctly documenting technical details.
