Job Title: DevOps Architect

Role Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the health, performance, and efficiency of our production environment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with development teams to design and implement systems that emphasize automation and maintainability at large scale.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Serve as Primary Point of Contact: Ensure the overall health, performance, efficiency, and capacity of our production environment are maintained.
  2. Design and Implement Systems: Participate in designing and implementing systems used to operate our services, focusing on automation and maintainability.
  3. Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams on operational issues, providing support and acting as a stakeholder.
  4. Maintain Production-Like Environments: Ensure fast and reliable development experiences by maintaining production-like environments for development and testing.
  5. Troubleshoot Issues: Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, application, and network stacks.
Experience & Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with significant DevOps experience.
  2. AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  3. 5+ years supporting high-volume, customer-facing hosted services.
  4. Experience with DevOps tools, processes, culture, distributed systems, and mission-critical support.
  5. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Github Actions.
  6. Ability to program/utilize high-level languages like Go, Ruby, Python, and Bash.
  7. 4+ years managing infrastructure at scale with Kubernetes.
  8. Experience migrating from traditional stacks to AWS EKS or similar.
