Shopify App Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify App Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in developing and maintaining Shopify stores, creating custom Shopify themes, and implementing new functionalities.

You will work closely with our design and marketing teams to ensure our e-commerce solutions meet the highest standards of performance, usability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, Maintain, and Optimize Shopify E-commerce Websites: Develop and maintain scalable and efficient Shopify e-commerce websites using Shopify's platform and APIs.
  • Develop Custom Shopify Apps: Develop custom Shopify apps from scratch for the Shopify App Store, utilizing Shopify's API and development tools.
  • Create Custom Shopify Themes: Create custom Shopify themes from scratch and modify existing themes to enhance the user experience and visual appeal.
  • Implement New Features and Functionalities: Implement new features and functionalities using Shopify's platform and APIs, staying up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends and technologies.
  • Integrate Third-Party Apps and Services: Integrate third-party apps and services to enhance the e-commerce experience, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Ensure Technical Feasibility: Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business goals.
  • Possess In-Depth Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of Liquid templating language to customize and optimize Shopify themes and functionalities.
  • Perform Website Updates: Perform website updates, including content changes, product uploads, and general site maintenance, ensuring the store remains up-to-date and visually appealing.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to store functionality and performance, working efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize sales.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business goals, staying focused on delivering high-quality results.
  • Stay Updated: Stay updated with the latest e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve the overall shopping experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Backend Development: Expertise in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Shopify API Expertise: Proficiency in Storefront API, Admin API, and Checkout API.
  • Authentication & Security: Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and data security best practices.
  • App Architecture: Experience with Embedded app development and Shopify App Bridge.
  • Shopify Polaris: Familiarity with the Polaris UI framework for a consistent design.
  • Cloud Services & Hosting: Experience with AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, and serverless architecture.
  • Payments & E-commerce: Knowledge of Shopify Payments integration and general e-commerce principles.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Experience with working external APIs.
  • Testing: Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Business Understanding: Knowledge of Shopify merchants and market research.
