Financial Reporting Specialist

This is a specialized role requiring exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in financial reporting, to assist our team in managing day-to-day financial transactions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accurately recording financial data, preparing reports, and analyzing results. They should be proficient in Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software and possess excellent communication skills.

This position involves working closely with our existing team to create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely compliance with internal and external deadlines, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process within GP
  • Posting invoice batches within the sales module and ensuring that the invoices are being deferred correctly in GP
  • Preparing AR aging reports, assisting in the preparation of the allowance for doubtful account provision, and sending monthly AR statements to customers
  • Processing customer account credits, return memos, cash receipts, and applying them against invoices in GP
  • Coordinating and preparing customer invoices and reconciling monthly invoice activity to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinating and managing all relevant support relating to customer invoices, including executed contracts, purchase orders, and other supporting material
  • Assisting in the regular reconciliation of AR-related accounts, such as work-in-progress, AR, and deferred revenue
  • Assisting with state sales tax compliance and other tax requirements
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including bank and account reconciliation preparation and adjustments, analytical review, and variance analysis


Required qualifications include a degree in finance or accounting, proficiency in MS Excel, and experience with proprietary software. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are also essential.
