About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to oversee product development, manage costing, and negotiate prices with suppliers.
This specialist will also monitor sampling approval processes, handle lab dips, bulk color and quality submissions, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Additionally, they will regularly update internal customers on the production and shipment status of garments, as well as manage all operational activities from proto sample development to production tracking.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to communicate order details and requirements to suppliers/production units.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and improve product offerings.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Manage product development, including sampling, prototyping, and testing.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the fashion industry.
- Strong knowledge of product construction, fabrication, trim, and print techniques.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and attention to detail.
