Product Visionary - Firmware and Hardware

We are seeking a Product Visionary to lead the product lifecycle from concept through development to successful launch. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of embedded systems, product lifecycle management, and experience working with consumer electronics or industrial IoT products.

  • This role requires ownership of product innovation, end-to-end development, and successful product delivery.
  • The Product Visionary will serve as the key point of contact for Scrum teams, ensuring a clear product vision, roadmap, and well-aligned priorities.
  • The role involves translating business goals into actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintaining and continuously grooming the product backlog to ensure a steady pipeline of prioritized work is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning activities.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, design, and hardware teams to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.
  • Coordinate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless firmware-to-device integration.
  • Collect and analyze user feedback, market research, and competitor insights to guide product decisions.
  • Communicate product vision, updates, and roadmaps to technical teams and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve project impediments to ensure sprint and release goals are met.
  • Support go-to-market activities in partnership with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in Agile environments.
  • Proven experience working on firmware, embedded systems, or hardware-centric products.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to bridge technical and business requirements into clear, actionable product work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM).
  • Understanding of firmware development cycles, testing frameworks, and hardware-software integration challenges.
  • Proven experience as a PO working on embedded/hardware-centric products.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and user-centric problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and highly technical environment.
