We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineering Lead to spearhead the development and growth of our platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a distributed team, translating business needs into a quarterly roadmap, and ensuring alignment with estimates and architecture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating a team of skilled engineers, setting clear goals and driving execution.
  • Delegating tasks effectively, balancing workload while maintaining momentum on the roadmap and technical debt.
  • Participating in architectural discussions and collaborating with Product teams to design and develop new features.
  • Maintaining high engineering standards through code reviews and feedback.
  • Handling complex, high-priority technical implementations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in backend software development at scale.
  • Deep expertise in Java and Spring Framework.
  • Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and AWS.

Additionally, the successful candidate will possess leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and experience working with external partners.
