National Science Bowl Pakistan (NSBP): Empowering Students through STEM Education

The NSBP is a groundbreaking initiative designed to foster a culture of STEM literacy among Pakistani youth. By organizing a nationwide science competition, we aim to encourage students to explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our program not only develops problem-solving skills but also nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among participants.

Job Role: Associate for the National Science Bowl Pakistan (NSBP)

This exciting opportunity involves supporting the day-to-day operations of the NSBP project, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful execution. Key responsibilities include operational support, research and impact assessment, and contributing to the development of research reports. Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational Support:
  • Assist the Project Manager with daily tasks, including event logistics, scheduling, and coordination of regional and national qualifiers.
  • Manage communication with participating schools, students, and volunteers.
  • Support outreach efforts, including database maintenance and coordination with potential school participants.
  • Help organize and lead team meetings, taking detailed notes and tracking action items.
  • Provide technical and logistical support during competitions, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, and management, ensuring readiness for competition roles.
  • Oversee task allocation among volunteers during events, guaranteeing seamless collaboration.
Research and Impact Assessment:
  • Conduct impact assessments of the NSBP project, evaluating short- and medium-term outcomes on student motivation, academic performance, and STEM aspirations.
  • Participate in data collection processes, including survey administration and data collection.
  • Analyze collected data to measure the impact of NSBP on students' critical thinking, teamwork, and STEM interest.
  • Contribute to drafting research reports, sharing key findings with stakeholders to inform program improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, STEM, or a related field.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Strong organizational skills with demonstrated multitasking and deadline met abilities.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Research experience, including data collection and analysis, is preferred.
  6. Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and basic data analysis tool proficiency (statistical software expertise is a plus).
  7. Passion for STEM education and youth engagement in science competitions.
