You will participate in the care of various essential and emergency surgical problems and develop leadership skills to enhance healthcare systems.

Surgical Care Delivery
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive surgical care
  • Develop skills in managing surgical emergencies and complex cases
Leadership Development
  • Pursue didactic modules on healthcare systems, delivery, financing, and community engagement
  • Engage in experiential learning through providing surgical care in lower-middle-income countries
Qualifications

You should have completed a surgery training program (minimum duration of 4 years) and be eligible for FCPS Part II or an equivalent international certifying examination. Additionally, you must have appropriate credentials as a general surgeon, including but not limited to FCPS, FRCS, or ABS certification. Prior experience of working in a rural area is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in OR/SDC sessions under supervising faculty
  • Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as assigned
  • Develop leadership skills to drive change in healthcare systems
