System Architect Role Summary

This is an opportunity for a skilled System Engineer to work on maintaining and optimizing our organization's technological infrastructure across both Windows and Linux environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust system solutions that ensure maximum uptime, security, and performance.

About the Role
  • We are looking for a skilled professional with strong technical expertise in multiple operating systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to system administration.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  3. Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
  5. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  6. Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  7. Participate in the planning and implementation of new systems and technologies.
  8. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  9. Provide technical support to end-users.
  10. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience (3+ years) as a System Engineer administering both Windows and Linux environments.
  3. Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
  4. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu).
  5. Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  6. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  7. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  8. Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  9. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
