SOC Compliance Specialist Role Summary:

This role is ideal for someone passionate about cybersecurity, auditing, and risk management. You will play a critical role in supporting our SOC 2 compliance program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of SOC 2 Type I and Type II compliance initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, security, and legal teams to document and monitor internal controls.
  • Conduct risk assessments and control gap analyses.
  • Maintain and organize audit documentation, policies, procedures, and evidence repositories.
  • Support external auditors by coordinating audit activities, gathering evidence, and responding to inquiries.
  • Continuously monitor and improve internal compliance processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with compliance automation tools (e.g., Vanta, Drata, Sprinto) to streamline evidence collection and control testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices (SOC, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in IT compliance, audit, risk management, or information security.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria, control frameworks, and evidence collection.
  • Strong understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and SaaS operations.
  • Excellent documentation, project coordination, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
