DevOps Engineer

In this role, you'll collaborate with software engineering teams to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot staging and production systems. You will work to automate and streamline deployment and system health check processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Linux / Unix Administration: Strong background in Linux/Unix administration is required.
  • Automation and Configuration Management: Experience with shell scripting and automation/configuration management is necessary.
  • Cloud Services and Open Source Technologies: Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (AWS experience is required).
  • Database Administration: Database administration skills are essential.
  • Code and Script Understanding: Working understanding of code and script (C++, Java, Python, Perl, or Ruby) is required.
  • IT Operations and Best Practices: Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in always-up, always-available services is necessary.
  • Server Administration: Ability to administer Nginx, MySQL, Monit, Sphinx, etc.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years of overall experience in professional software engineering.
  • DevOps Experience: At least 2+ years of hands-on experience as DevOps engineer.
