">Job Description:
">We are seeking a Programme Policy Officer to support our efforts in upscaling nutrition in the province of Punjab. The successful candidate will lead provincial office nutrition team in managing the implementation of quality nutrition programmes in all districts across the province. They will also ensure smooth and continuous functioning of the office and maintain continuity in operations, decision-making, and service delivery during the temporary absence or unavailability of the Head of the Office.
">Key Responsibilities:
">• Lead provincial office nutrition team in managing the implementation of quality nutrition programmes in all districts across the province.
">• Ensure smooth and continuous functioning of the office and maintain continuity in operations, decision-making, and service delivery during the temporary absence or unavailability of the Head of the Office.
">• Provide technical support to nutrition projects and activities in the province, ensuring a coordinated approach with wider programmes/projects that complies with WFP standards and procedures.
">• Represent WFP at provincial or district level strategic consultations, contribute to discussions, exchange experiences, advocate and position WFP and identify areas of potential collaboration and partnerships wherever possible.
">• Liaise with cooperating partners to monitor ongoing nutrition projects, ensuring effective collaboration, timeliness, and efficiency, and highlight potential risks to the project delivery. Also, to maintain close liaison with IRMNCH & NP, Government of Punjab, Department of Health, BISP Provincial/District offices for this work.
">Qualifications and Experience:
">The ideal candidate should have an advanced university degree in International Affairs, Economics, development studies, Nutrition/Health with relevant experience in the field or first level university degree with 2 years of additional related work experience. A minimum of 5 years of professional and managerial experience supporting the implementation of nutrition/health/development programs and coordinating with governmental stakeholders is required. Experience working in Punjab province is considered an asset.
