Accountant

We are seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to lead our accounts department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, as well as providing various reports required by management. They will also be expected to lead a team of accountants and ensure the smooth operation of the accounts department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
  2. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  3. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  4. Mentor and train junior accountants to develop their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ICMA, MBA or MCom) with at least 5 years' experience at senior level.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
