Network System Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Network System Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our servers, networks, systems, and endpoints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain servers (Windows/Linux), firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Monitor system performance, perform regular backups, and ensure disaster recovery protocols are in place.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless networks, and VPNs.
Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and external regulatory standards.
  • Conduct periodic audits and vulnerability assessments.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Provide level 2/3 support for hardware and software issues across the organization.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file and print servers, and email systems.
  • Handle escalated technical issues, ensure SLA adherence, and provide root cause analysis.
Infrastructure Planning and Optimization:
  • Evaluate new hardware/software technologies for potential implementation.
  • Optimize existing systems for cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Document architecture diagrams, procedures, and system configurations.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Guide and mentor junior IT support staff.
  • Collaborate with application teams and ERP developers to ensure infrastructure alignment.
  • Participate in project planning and system upgrades with cross-functional teams.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud services. Additionally, experience with monitoring tools, firewall configuration, VLANs, VPNs, and endpoint protection is highly desirable.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, VMware, Azure) are an advantage.
