Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Policy Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the production of the Policy and Institutional Review (PIR) and provide initial inputs to support the development of the Biodiversity Finance Plan.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and describe significant biodiversity-related policies and legal frameworks.
- Identify existing finance solutions relevant to biodiversity finance.
- Support the Project Lead in the conception and preparation of the PIR.
- Plan and implement the PIR step of the BIOFIN methodology at the CO level.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Public Policy or Economic Policy with an Environment/Biodiversity/Economic focus or an Environmental/Biodiversity with a Public Policy focus.
Alternatively, a first-level university degree in the above-mentioned areas in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
The candidate should have experience in preparing publications, reports, and presentations, as well as collaborating with international and national experts and institutions.
Familiarity with environmental policy and legal frameworks, environmental financial mechanisms, and knowledge of key software packages (MS Office), quantum, and PIMS+ is desirable.
Language RequirementsFluency in English and Urdu language is required.
