About the Role

We are seeking an experienced corporate lawyer with a proven track record in handling commercial contracts and transactions. Your expertise in international contracts, procurement, and finance will be highly beneficial in supporting our business operations.

  • Your deep knowledge of applicable laws, including statute law, secondary legislation, and jurisprudence, will enable you to provide sound advice on contract negotiations and risk management.
  • You will have experience in dealing with commercial laws and corporate laws of various countries, including India, Myanmar, and Singapore.

In this role, you will work closely with our teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with commercial contracts. Your excellent communication skills and ability to present complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner will be essential in ensuring seamless collaboration and effective decision-making.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including FMCG, IT, procurement, commissioning, and agreements with vendors.
  2. Creating and administering processes for governance, compliance, and risk management in connection with contractual provisions.
  3. Negotiating contracts with customers, business partners, vendors, and regulators.
  4. Providing legal opinions on associated matters related to commercial laws, financial laws, and regulations.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of commercial contracts and transactions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Between 8-12 years of experience in a reputable firm of solicitors or corporate house, with specialist experience as a corporate lawyer in large companies.
  • Expertise in applicable laws, including statute law, secondary legislation, and jurisprudence.
  • Practical experience in dealing with commercial laws and corporate laws of India, Myanmar, and Singapore.
