Kidney Disease Specialist

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Kidney Disease Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with kidney disease, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.

Main Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in diagnosing and managing patients under nephrology care, including instructing and directing clinical staff and educating medical students assigned to the service.
• Conduct daily ward rounds for primary nephrology patients and those referred for nephrology consultation.
• Rounding on patients undergoing hemodialysis, including both inpatients and outpatients.
• Performing dialysis catheter insertions under supervision until independently certified by the Program Director; observing and assisting in renal biopsy procedures.
• Serving as the first point of contact for nephrology consultations: taking patient history, reviewing prior medical records, conducting physical examinations, analyzing relevant investigations, and formulating a detailed assessment and set of recommendations to be presented to the attending physician.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• MBBS degree with a valid PMDC License
• FCPS/MRCP part I
• 2-year experience in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution
