Job Role

This Consultant – Performance Analytics role within Advisors & Consulting Services is responsible for managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop analytics strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions
  • Contribute to project development across various industries and problem statements
  • Collaborate with Mastercard teams to understand client needs, agenda, and risks
  • Establish strong working relationships with client analysts/managers as trusted partners

Collaborative Team Environment

  • Collaborate with senior project delivery consultants to identify key findings, prepare presentations, and deliver recommendations
  • Independently analyze trends, patterns, issues, and anomalies, and structure analysis to highlight relevant findings
  • Lead internal and client meetings, and contribute to project management
  • Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital
  • Receive mentorship from performance analytics leaders for professional growth and development

Requirements

Essential qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with data and analytics experience in business intelligence and/or descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics
  • Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize key findings
  • Proficiency using data analytics software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS)
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and local office language (if applicable)
  • Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs

Desirable qualifications

  • Additional data and analytics experience in building, maintaining database structures, working with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or working with Hadoop framework and coding using Impala, Hive, or PySpark
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize key findings to provide recommendations via descriptive analytics and business intelligence
  • Experience managing tasks or workstreams in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement best solutions
  • Relevant industry expertise
