SQA Engineer - Automation Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SQA Engineer - Automation to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be instrumental in developing scripts, writing test cases, and applying industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive QA best practices and enhance testing methodologies with 3+ years of experience in automation tools and frameworks.
  • Perform hands-on automation testing across various layers, including UI, API, and backend services, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure efficient, scalable, and robust testing processes.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the speed and reliability of testing cycles.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define automation strategies.
  • Operate within an Agile environment, ensuring QA processes align with sprint goals and delivery timelines.
  • Mentor and coach junior QA engineers on automation practices, tools, and frameworks.
  • Contribute to performance testing and ensure automation supports a broader strategy covering functional, performance, and security aspects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Proven expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks—particularly Selenium with Python.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Solid understanding of API testing and automation using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and experience working within Scrum teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to work closely with development teams and mentor junior QA team members.
