Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Master Mariner with a strong experience in tanker operations and marine warranty surveying to support our projects on an ad-hoc basis in Karachi, Pakistan. This role is ideal for an experienced maritime professional looking for flexible consultancy work with a reputable marine services provider.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert marine consultancy and warranty services for tanker operations and offshore projects.
• Conduct vessel inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks in line with international standards.
• Review and approve marine operations, including load-outs, towage, and heavy-lift activities.
• Liaise with clients, classification societies, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for marine warranty and assurance purposes.

Requirements

• Valid Master Mariner (Class 1) Certificate of Competency.
• Minimum 10 years of sea-going experience.
• Proven experience in marine warranty surveying or marine consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Availability for short-notice assignments in Karachi and surrounding areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with marine warranty providers or classification societies.
• Familiarity with towage operations
• Membership in a recognised professional maritime body (e.g., IMarEST, NI, SOMWS).
