Senior AI Engineer

As a Senior AI Engineer at Xdemand, you will play a critical role in developing programmatic solutions that support our AI-driven inventory management platform. You will focus on designing and implementing robust, production-level AI systems, managing scalable data pipelines, and ensuring seamless API integrations. You will work in close collaboration with data scientists, web developers, and product managers to ensure that our solutions are effective, scalable, and aligned with our business goals. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of software engineering best practices and strong experience in developing cloud-based AI services.

Key Responsibilities

• AI System Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain the architecture of AI systems that are fully integrated into our predictive inventory planning platform.
• Cloud Deployment: Lead the deployment of AI models and algorithms on cloud platforms, primarily Azure, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable systems.
• API Development and Integration: Develop and optimize APIs to integrate AI models into Xdemand's inventory planning tools, ensuring smooth communication between software components.
• Data Pipeline Management: Build and manage scalable data pipelines that facilitate seamless data ingestion, processing, and integration for model training and inference.
• Automation & Scalability: Develop automated processes for model retraining, updates, and deployment in a high-availability production environment.
• SaaS Platform Enhancement: Integrate AI-powered features into our SaaS platform, contributing to new functionalities that provide clients with actionable insights on inventory management and demand forecasting.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside software engineers, product managers, and operations teams to ensure alignment between AI capabilities and business needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring the latest developments in AI, cloud computing, and machine learning, and applying new knowledge to enhance our solutions.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in AI engineering with a focus on cloud deployment, automation, and API development.
• Programming & Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Azure, for deploying and scaling AI services.
  • Solid experience in developing APIs using RESTful or GraphQL services.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Kubernetes) and automation frameworks.
• Pipeline Management: Strong knowledge of building and managing scalable data pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow, Kafka, or AWS Glue.
• SaaS & API Expertise: Experience in developing and integrating APIs within SaaS applications, emphasizing system reliability, performance, and security.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance in production environments.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical challenges and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
