We are seeking a passionate and experienced Visiting IELTS Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact, engaging IELTS preparation courses that equip students with the strategies and confidence needed to excel in all four sections of the exam: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. This is an ideal position for an educator who is passionate about student success and enjoys the flexibility of a visiting or part-time contract.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and interactive lessons for IELTS preparation courses.
  • Teach all components of the IELTS exam (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) with a focus on test-taking strategies and skills development.
  • Create a motivating and inclusive classroom environment that caters to diverse learning styles.
  • Develop and administer practice tests, quizzes, and assignments to monitor student progress.
  • Provide timely, constructive, and individualised feedback on student writing and speaking performance.
  • Stay current with the latest IELTS exam formats, trends, and teaching methodologies.
  • Track student attendance, participation, and performance.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience teaching IELTS preparation courses.
  • In-depth knowledge of the IELTS exam structure, scoring criteria, and question types.
  • Exceptional command of the English language (C2 level or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Dynamic and energetic teaching style that inspires and engages students.
  • Preferred:
  • TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification or a teaching credential.
  • Personal experience taking the IELTS exam with a high band score (e.g., 8.0+).
  • Experience teaching in a multicultural or multilingual environment.
