Role Overview
The Digital Content & Social Media Officer will be responsible for creating, managing, and delivering impactful digital content that amplifies Fazilia's mission, strengthens donor engagement, and drives fundraising campaigns. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the NGO sector, with hands-on expertise in video editing, image design, social media management, and campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Editing
- Produce and edit videos showcasing Fazilia's projects, success stories, and donor messages.
- Design and edit images, infographics, and campaign visuals tailored for social media.
- Draft compelling social media posts, newsletters, and campaign copy in line with Fazilia's tone and values.
Social Media Management
- Manage official social media profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X).
- Ensure consistent posting schedules and engagement with donors, partners, and followers.
- Monitor conversations and community feedback to strengthen engagement.
Campaigns & Fundraising Support
- Plan and execute digital campaigns (Facebook Meta Ads, email marketing, donor engagement).
- Work closely with fundraising team to align campaigns with donor priorities.
- Track and optimize campaign performance for maximum ROI.
Technology & AI Tools
- Use AI-powered editing and design tools to improve content production speed and quality.
- Explore new digital tools for storytelling and donor engagement.
Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with field teams to collect authentic stories, photos, and videos.
- Provide weekly reports on content reach, engagement, and fundraising conversions.
- Ensure brand guidelines and ethical storytelling practices are followed.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Content Production
Minimum of 4 edited videos per month (project stories, appeals, donor updates).
Minimum of 12–15 social media graphics/posts per month.
Social Media Growth & Engagement
Achieve at least 10–15% increase in engagement rate per quarter.
Consistent growth in followers across platforms (target benchmarks set quarterly).
Campaign Effectiveness
Timely execution of Meta Ads campaigns with CTR (Click-Through Rate) > 2.5%.
Email campaign open rate above 20% and click rate above 5%.
Donor Communication
Positive feedback from donors/partners on digital storytelling.
Increased donor conversions through digital campaigns.
Innovation & Efficiency
Adoption of AI-based tools to reduce production turnaround time by at least 20%.
- Continuous testing of new formats (reels, infographics, live sessions).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NGO/nonprofit sector in digital content/social media.
- Proficiency in:
- Video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Image editing tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva).
- Social media management tools (Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite).
- Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
- Familiarity with AI-based tools (ChatGPT, Canva AI, Runway, etc.).
- Strong storytelling, copywriting, and creative thinking skills.
- Knowledge of fundraising, humanitarian communication, and donor engagement practices.
