We are seeking a talented WordPress PHP Developer and Graphics Designer with strong administrative and technical skills to support our Academy's digital infrastructure. This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented professional with expertise in web development, design, and IT support who is eager to contribute to the Academy's growth.

Job Description

The WordPress PHP Developer, Administration, and Graphics Designer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Academy's website, creating engaging visuals for digital and print media, and supporting IT operations. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency in PHP/MySQL and WordPress with strong design skills and the ability to manage academic and administrative systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress & PHP Development:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the Academy's WordPress website with custom PHP/MySQL functionality.
  • Manage site security, backups, performance optimization, and plugin/theme configurations.

Graphics & Design:

  • Create visually appealing graphics, marketing materials, and layouts using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Design social media content, flyers, brochures, and other digital/print assets to support branding.

Administration & IT Support:

  • Provide technical support for staff, teachers, and students.
  • Manage academic and administrative documents using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).
  • Use advanced Microsoft Excel tools (formulas, pivot tables, charts) for reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure data security and confidentiality for student and staff systems.
  • Provide training sessions for staff on using digital tools and platforms.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager on implementing new technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in WordPress development, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Strong background in WordPress site administration (themes, plugins, updates, security).
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Creative eye for branding, layouts, and visual communication.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
  • Prior experience in an educational or academic environment is preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple projects.
