Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Scouting & Innovation
  • Identify, evaluate, and promote emerging technologies for energy efficiency and conservation.
  • Lead feasibility studies and applied research on innovative energy solutions.
  • Policy Integration & Strategy
  • Develop strategies to integrate R&D outcomes into national energy efficiency and conservation policies.
  • Contribute to the formulation of national roadmaps for energy innovation.
  • Pilot Projects & Demonstrations
  • Design, implement, and evaluate pilot projects to test and validate innovative technologies.
  • Scale up successful demonstration projects for nationwide adoption.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with industry leaders, technology providers, and energy service companies (ESCOs) to drive deployment.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with universities, research institutions, and private sector firms.
  • Support startups and entrepreneurs in the development of market-ready energy efficiency solutions.
  • Knowledge Management & Capacity Building
  • Organize and facilitate knowledge-sharing platforms such as forums, workshops, and innovation challenges.
  • Promote a culture of continuous innovation and evidence-based decision-making in energy efficiency.
  • Regulatory Support & Policy Advocacy
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve regulatory frameworks for energy efficiency.
  • Engage with policymakers to ensure alignment of R&D initiatives with national priorities and international commitments.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of R&D and innovation initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess the economic and energy impact of pilot and demonstration projects.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on research findings, technology adoption, and policy recommendations.
  • Other Duties
  • Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor or senior management.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education:
  • Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, Energy, Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
  • Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification, verifiable experience in energy efficiency, innovation management, R&D, or a related field—preferably in both public and private sectors.

  • Age Limit:

Maximum age of 45 years on the date of advertisement.Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven expertise in leading innovation and R&D initiatives in energy or environmental sectors.
  • Strong understanding of global and regional trends in energy efficiency technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing pilot/demonstration projects.
  • Established network within academia, industry, and policymaking circles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commitment to sustainability, innovation, and inclusive development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs275,000.00 per month
