Lead AI Engineer (Masters in AI Required with Production Experience)

Lead AI Engineer
with a
Bachelors
and
Masters
in AI to design, architect, and deploy advanced agentic systems—transforming cutting-edge LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation frameworks into large-scale, production-ready products.

Role Responsibilities

Agentic System Architecture:

  • Build agent workflows including tool-calling, retrieval + memory systems, evaluation/feedback loops, and strong safety layers.

LLM Platform Engineering

  • Manage vLLM/Ollama deployments or external model APIs.
  • Maintain structured prompt & policy versioning.
  • Own latency, throughput, and cost SLOs.
  • Enable vendor redundancy (OpenAI, Anthropic, OSS).

Data Engineering

  • Develop ingestion and normalization pipelines (contracts, tickers, market data).
  • Implement corporate-action processing, time-series storage, and scalable caching strategies.

MLOps/ LLMOps

  • Create CI/CD systems for prompts & models.
  • Run offline + online evaluations (RAGAS, DeepEval).
  • Implement telemetry, monitoring, and alerting with OpenTelemetry and dashboards.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure minimal PII usage, end-to-end encryption, and proper licensing controls.
  • Lead periodic red-team testing and compliance checks.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Review code, mentor junior engineers, support hiring, and enforce engineering excellence.
  • Work closely with Product and Design to deliver well-integrated AI features.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years production experience required
    deploying ML/AI systems in production environments, with
    2+ years in LLM-driven products
    .
  • Strong proficiency in
    Python
    (testing, typing, optimization) and backend development (Node/Python services, REST, WebSockets, authentication).
  • Deep experience with
    PyTorch
    , LoRA/PEFT, quantization, and serving frameworks (vLLM, FastAPI, Triton).
  • Proven ability to build
    RAG and agent systems
    — retrieval, chunking/ATC compression, memory strategies, tool schemas, evaluators.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Azure or cloud infrastructure
    , Kubernetes/containers, IaC, and observability tools.
  • Solid ETL and data pipeline skills; experience with
    Postgres/Timescale/ClickHouse
    , Redis, and streaming architectures.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech: Plaid schemas, fundamentals/market data, compliance workflows, SOC-2.
  • Familiarity with data-quality frameworks (Great Expectations), experiment platforms, and feature stores.
  • Ability to prototype quickly with
    React/Tailwind
    .

Education

Bachelor's degree in CS/AI or related field.

Master's/PhD in ML/AI/Data Science is a plus (mandatory).
