We are seeking a talented and passionate Lead Backend Developer to join our team. As a Lead Backend Developer at Irvinei, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality and performance of our products through thorough manual testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for improving user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Laravel and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with components.
  • Develop and manage RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
  • Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure system and data security.
  • Optimize application performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficient resource usage.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and debug problems to maintain stable backend operations.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and backend development trends; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize deep and server-side development experience for pipeline management, debugging, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with firmware, product, QA, security, and development teams to define technical requirements and SLAs.
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance for customer and device data in line with company and regulatory policies.
  • Lead and manage technical teams including backend developers, DevOps engineers, and QA engineers to ensure project success.
  • Mentor junior engineers, guide professional growth, and review critical code segments to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Implement and maintain real-time communication features using Socket.IO and WebSockets for interactive applications.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Laravel and for backend development.
  • Experience integrating backend services with applications.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and authorization (JWT, OAuth2).
  • Knowledge of Socket.IO and WebSockets for real-time communication.
  • Expertise in application performance optimization and debugging.
  • Skilled in database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience managing development, DevOps, and QA teams.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and uphold coding best practices.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy compliance, and collaboration across teams.
