Senior Backend Engineer )

Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will take ownership of backend development with a strong focus on

, distributed systems, and scalable API architectures. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing backend services for production-grade applications used by thousands of users.

This is a
senior, high-impact role
where you'll lead architecture decisions, enforce code quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class engineering solutions.

What You Will Do

Architect, develop, and maintain
REST APIs
using
& TypeScript

Design efficient and scalable database models
and integrations (PostgreSQL, Prisma, Redis, etc.)

Implement
authentication, authorization, rate-limiting
, and secure API best practices

Maintain robust
CI/CD pipelines
, automated testing suites, and monitoring systems

Work closely with DevOps to ensure smooth deployments on
AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms

Lead code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor team members

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must bring:


7+ years
of professional backend engineering experience


3+ years specialized experience with

Advanced TypeScript
and backend architecture expertise

Proven experience building
production-level APIs at scale

Strong testing mindset with documentation discipline (OpenAPI / Swagger
)

Solid Git workflow skills (branching, code reviews) and familiarity with PM tools (Jira, ClickUp, etc.)

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):


• Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, or message brokers (Kafka / RabbitMQ)


• Experience with serverless architectures


• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK)
