Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress solutions. The primary goal of this position is to learn from experienced developers, gain hands-on experience, and gradually take ownership of WordPress development tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior developers in day-to-day development tasks and actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Develop and implement custom WordPress themes from scratch.
  • Work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Custom Post Types (CPT) to create dynamic, content-driven websites.
  • Collaborate on enhancing existing websites and building new features.
  • Write clean, optimized, and maintainable PHP, HTML, and CSS code (Tailwind/Bootstrap experience is a plus).
  • Add front-end interactivity using JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Ensure websites are responsive, high-performing, and optimized for SEO.
  • Learn and apply DevOps practices such as version control, deployments, and backups.
  • Collaborate with designers and other team members to implement pixel-perfect designs.
  • Assist in creating documentation and maintaining development best practices.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is not required for this role.
  • 1 year of practical experience in WordPress development (custom themes, PHP, and ACF).
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Familiarity with ACF and Custom Post Types.
  • Understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, and theme hierarchy.
  • Proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Basic understanding of website optimization, performance, and security.
  • Exposure to cloud hosting environments (e.g., AWS, cPanel, etc.).
