Job Description

The Assistant Manager Finance will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves supervising accounting functions, preparing financial reports, managing payables/receivables, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and hotel brand standards.

Key Responsibilities


• Supervise daily finance and accounts operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.


• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.


• Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.


• Monitor cash flows, banking transactions, and reconciliations.


• Ensure timely vendor payments and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.


• Assist in statutory compliance including taxation, audits, and regulatory filings.


• Review and strengthen internal controls, financial procedures, and SOPs.


• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.


• Provide financial insights and reports to management for decision-making.


• Train and supervise junior finance staff.

Key Skills & Competencies


• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and local tax laws.


• Proficiency in MS Excel, SUN accounting systems and Opera


• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments.


• Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications & Experience


• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance.


• 4–6 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in the    hospitality industry.


• Prior hotel finance experience will be a strong advantage.
