About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior AI/ML Scientist to lead cutting-edge research and development initiatives in artificial intelligence and machine learning. This role requires a strong foundation in mathematics, algorithms, and ML theory, combined with the ability to apply advanced models to solve complex, real-world problems. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, mentor junior scientists, and help shape the organization's AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the research, design, and development of advanced AI/ML algorithms and models.
  • Explore and evaluate state-of-the-art techniques in deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate research into scalable, production-ready solutions.
  • Conduct experiments, publish findings internally, and contribute to academic and industry publications.
  • Optimize models for performance, scalability, and interpretability.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior data scientists and engineers.
  • Stay at the forefront of AI/ML research, identifying opportunities to apply breakthroughs in business applications.
  • Contribute to shaping the organization's AI roadmap and long-term strategy.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in AI/ML research and applied development.
  • Strong background in machine learning theory, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
  • Expertise in ML/DL frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, etc.).
  • Experience with large-scale datasets, distributed computing, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Track record of published research or contributions to conferences/journals (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in generative AI, LLMs, or multi-modal models.
  • Hands-on knowledge of MLOps practices, deployment pipelines, and model lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of ethical AI, fairness, and model explainability.
