MTI is seeking an experienced PHP Developer with strong expertise in the Laravel framework and secure application development over HTTPS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications, ensuring compliance with best practices in encryption, authentication, and data protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP (Laravel framework).
  • Implement secure HTTPS configurations, SSL/TLS certificates, and encryption best practices.
  • Build RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services securely.
  • Ensure web applications are secure against common vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection, etc.).
  • Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following Laravel coding standards.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Maintain version control using Git and follow CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a PHP Developer of 1-2 year, with at least 1 year in Laravel.
  • Strong understanding of HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and web security protocols.
  • Experience with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript preferred).
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON data.
  • Knowledge of authentication/authorization methods (OAuth2, JWT, Laravel Passport/Sanctum).
  • Familiarity with server environments (Apache/Nginx) and hosting on cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Docker or containerized deployments.
  • Knowledge of Laravel Queues, Events, and Broadcasting.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Laravel Telescope, New Relic).
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
