Job Purpose

The resource will manage and maintain Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. The role involves working with IT teams to support system infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.

Task and Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and monitor Linux servers (physical and virtual).
  • Perform system upgrades, patch management, and ensure server security.
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues for internal teams.
  • Manage backups, recovery processes, and user access controls.

Other Skills:

  • Linux Administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Scripting (Bash).
  • Virtualization (e.g., VMware, KVM).
  • Network knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Monitoring tools (Zabbix).

Experience:

5 years or above of Linux system admin experience and must be familiar with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Microservices, Kafka.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field.
