Architectural Design Drafter

Karachi Defence Housing Society, Pakistan T-Holdings Full time 1,200,000 - 1,800,000 per year

Utilizes AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Twinmotion software to provide technical drafting support to architects and designers by preparing design views and construction drawings. Makes simple decisions but refers most questions/problems to architect or supervisor. Has a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with how buildings fit together.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible to help coordinate plan set with the team

Understand standard Details and Blocks

Responsible for backchecking their own work

Address and understand red-line drawings as well as mark-ups

Learn how to prepare base drawing

Prepare deliverables of drawing

Work independently from project managers

Identify potential design conflicts and apply innovative problem solving to determine solutions for project managers

Work with project team to execute projects on time and on budget

Make corrections to drawings as requested by senior staff

Perform other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to pay close attention to detail

Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written

Skilled in PC usage and associated software

Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications

Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures

Able to work with minimal supervision

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a professional office environment, not from home

Education, Certification, and Experience:

Must have a strong understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and Rendering programs

HS diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree

1-3 years of experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100, Rs150,000.00 per month
