Qualifications Required – Assistant Tax Manager
Education & Professional Certifications

  • LLB, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is a must.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in tax, preferably within a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
  • Demonstrated experience with direct and indirect tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory.
  • Experience handling tax audits and working with tax authorities is beneficial.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with tax accounting standards
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other MS Office applications.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong analytical and research skills to interpret complex tax regulations.
  • Ability to identify tax risks and develop practical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-tax professionals.
  • Team player with the ability to manage junior staff and collaborate across departments.

Other Requirements

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
